In the morning meet and greet your guide and travel companions in the lobby of the hotel / airport. After becoming acquainted with each other we shall take a walking tour of the city centre of Ljubljana. The old city centre has a unique architectural appearance, particularly due to its mixture of Baroque and Art Nouveau architecture with masterful creations by the 20th century architect Jože Plečnik. The funicular will take us to the Castle of Ljubljana situated above the town. We shall spend some time admiring the magnificent view, which on a sunny day stretches all the way to the Alps. Then we drive to Kamniška Bistrica where we take cable car to the top of the mountain Velika planina. We can explore all natural and ethnological attractions of the mountain and see shepherd's settlement, taste a special cheese and fresh milk and yogurt and enjoy the spectacular views of the mountain and the valley beneath. In the evening drive back to Ljubljana. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in a centrally located four-star hotel.

LJUBLJANA – VELIKA PLANINA - LJUBLJANA
LJUBLJANA – IDRIJA - POSTOJNA – LJUBLJANA
After breakfast drive to Idrija. Walking tour through the city and visit the Idrija Municipal Museum, widely recognised for its care for technical heritage of Idrija Mercury Mine, the second largest mercury mine in the world, the heritage of hand-knitting Idrija lace and the famous Second World War Partisan Hospital – Franja. Lunch in local restaurant with traditional pasta dish “Idrijski žlikrofi”. After lunch we continue to the famous underground world of the Postojna Cave. It is one of the best-known caves in the world, and the greatest tourist attraction in Slovenia. For 140 years, the Postojna Cave has been the only cave in the world to offer a uniquely adventurous ride with a special cave train, which will take you into the heart of the cave, through spectacular underground arches embellished with chandelier-like stalactites, through a beautiful subterranean world full of playful limestone sculptures. The cave is special and famous for its unique inhabitant, the human fish or olm – some like to call it the dragon’s offspring. After Postojna Cave short drive to Predjama Castle to visit unique castle. Drive to Ljubljana. Overnight.
LJUBLJANA – RADOVLJICA – BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA
After breakfast drive to the Gorenjska region that offers beautiful views of the Lakes of Bled and Bohinj and the peaks of the Julian Alps and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Our first stop will be at the Museum of Apiculture. The museum has attracted numerous visitors from all over the world since 1959, and presents three key themes that mark Slovenian bee-keeping: autonomous race of bees, world renowned bee-keepers and painted frontal boards of beehives. Afterwards we continue to Bled and Bohinj, famous for their gorgeous lakes, considered to be one of the top five attractions in Slovenia. We take a stroll on the banks of Lake Bled and walk up to the ancient Bled Castle. The castle houses a museum with printing workshop where the reconstructed Gutenberg’s wooden printing press is displayed. Its courtyard offers a majestic view of the lake and the surroundings. We take time to enjoy tasting “kremšnita”, the famous Bled cake. After the walk through Bled, we drive to Bohinj, a town located in the Bohinj basin, a 20km long and 5km wide area in the heart of the Julian Alps in the Triglav National Park. Its main feature is the preglacial Bohinj Lake. We take a half-hour hike uphill through the woods to the scenic Savica Waterfall. Then drive to Begunje to visit Avsenik museum of Slovenian country music and to have a tasteful local dinner. Drive back to Ljubljana. Overnight.
LJUBLJANA – PTUJ – MARIBOR - ŽALEC - LJUBLJANA
After breakfast drive to the oldest documented town of Slovenia, Ptuj, begins by sightseeing the town centre of a historically important settlement, and continues with a stop at its ancient castle. In the castle takes place a Regional museum with numerous interesting collections, tapestries and small everyday objects once used by our ancestors. It also offers a breath-taking view of the city. Our next stop will be the second largest town of Slovenia and the capital of the Slovenian region of Lower Styria, Maribor. There, we take a walk through the city centre, and admire landmarks left behind by years of historical movements; we walk past the defense towers, the Minorite church and monastery, and the Old Vine, a Guinness Book-certified oldest grapevine in the world, which is more than 450 years old and still bears fruit. We also walk through the oldest part of the city, so-called Lent, where the biggest international and multicultural festival in Slovenia takes place annually. Our next stop are the lush green forests of the Pohorje hills, providing an unforgettable scenery in the spring, summer and fall. Come winter, it becomes a popular spot for all lovers of winter sports. We take the cable car to the Pohorje hills and enjoy the view of the city below. Continue to the Valley of Green Gold with its king – hops. Visit a beer fountain in Žalec, the one and only in the world and taste of Slovenian local beers. Dinner in local restaurant. Short drive to Ljubljana and overnight.
After breakfast we meet in the lobby to say farewell to our new friends and travel companions and take the last group photo in memory of the unforgettable moments in Slovenia. Check-out.
